Banner Rates, Pity & Rotation

Anime Origins Summon Banner

Anime Origins runs a single summon banner with three rotating featured mythics. Understanding the rotation — not the headline Secret rate — is what decides whether your Gems are wasted.

Banner Numbers at a Glance

Secret rate

0.01%

Valcrad (Unleashed) — the banner Secret. Shown on the banner itself as 1 in 10,000 per summon.

Pity

400 summons

The hard guarantee on the banner. Everything before 400 is upside; plan your Gem budget around this number.

Featured slots

3 rotating

Three featured mythics rotate through the day — Bluma, Vegita, Aneko, Goki, Noroto, Sosuke and Melio have all appeared during launch week.

Lucky Potions

No Secret boost

Lucky Potions raise rarity odds but do not move the Secret rate. Do not save them hoping to force Valcrad.

How the Featured Rotation Works

There is only one banner, and it shows three featured mythics at a time. The featured line-up rotates through the day, so a unit you want may not be available on your first visit. Non-featured banner units can still drop from any pull, but the featured slots are what you should actually be rolling for — waiting for the right rotation is free, while rolling the wrong one costs Gems.

Practical tip: check the tier list first, note which featured mythics your roster actually needs, then only roll when one of them is live.

When to Spend Gems

Step 1

Bluma first

Bluma (Data Analyst) is the mythic economy unit — her Training Data eventually turns into a +30% income boost. Every launch-week priority list puts her first because faster income speeds up every other grind on this site.

Step 2

Then a Hill unit

Vegita (Super) or Aneko (Queen) covers flying waves. Without one of them your team stalls on air spawns — see who can hit flying enemies on the elements page.

Step 3

A boss killer

Goki (Super 3) builds Fighting Spirit stacks for extra Damage and Crit Chance, which is what makes late Raid and World Boss stages winnable.

Step 4

Never chase Valcrad

Roll for the featured mythics and let the 0.01% Secret be a bonus. Dupes are not wasted either — they convert into Ascension progress.

Units You Cannot Summon

Several top-tier units never appear on the banner. If a unit is missing from your summons after hundreds of pulls, it is probably one of these — each has a dedicated farm route instead.

Madaro (Edo Tensei)

Hidden Sand quest chain (SND artifacts) full route

Cursed Lover (Pure Love)

Rift clears full route

Igritto (Commander)

World Boss shop full route

Mykie (Toman)

Infinite Mansion milestones full route

Tango (Star of Festivals)

Raid Act 3 reward full route

Shinies & Dupes

Shiny variants

Units can roll a shiny variant with alternate visual effects. Shinies are cosmetic — published sources do not list any damage, range or speed bonus attached to them, so never reroll a good trait just to chase one.

Duplicate units

Dupes are not waste. They feed Ascension, where each star grants a permanent +10% base stat boost up to 5 Stars — the cheaper alternative to spending Fusion Cores.

Summon Banner FAQ

What are the summon rates in Anime Origins?+

The banner publishes its own rates. The Secret unit Valcrad sits at 0.01% (1 in 10,000) per summon, with a guaranteed copy at 400 summons. Featured mythics rotate through three slots and are the realistic target of every pull.

Do Lucky Potions increase the chance of getting Valcrad?+

No. Lucky Potions raise general rarity odds but do not increase the Secret rate. Treat Valcrad as a lottery ticket you collect while rolling for featured mythics rather than something you can force.

When should I spend Gems in Anime Origins?+

Roll when Bluma (Data Analyst) is featured, since the economy unit accelerates every other grind. After that, target a Hill unit such as Vegita or Aneko for air coverage and Goki if you still lack a boss killer.

Which Anime Origins units cannot be summoned?+

Madaro comes from the Hidden Sand quest chain, Cursed Lover drops from Rifts, Igritto is a World Boss reward, Mykie is an Infinite Mansion milestone unit, Tango (Star of Festivals) comes from Raid Act 3, and Roxi is tied to the Magician bundle.
